<p>Through January 2nd, we will be making decorated sablé cookies (a French sugar cookie) in partnership with the <a href="http://www.abt.org/performances/nutcracker.asp" target="new">American Ballet Theatre</a>&rsquo;s world premier of <em>The Nutcracker</em>. <a href="http://www.bettybakery.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/Picture-1.png"><img src="http://www.bettybakery.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/Picture-1-219x300.png" alt="The Nutcracker cookie" title="Picture 1" width="219" height="300" class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-548" /></a>The image on the cookie is inspired by the drawings of the show&#8217;s costume designer, Richard Hudson. Our cookies have already been featured in <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2010/12/08/dining/08fcal.html">The New York Times</a> and <a href="http://www3.timeoutny.com/newyork/kids/blog/2010/11/30/betty-bakery-debuts-nutcracker-inspired-cookie-on-wednesday-december-1/">Time Out New York</a>, and orders are coming in fast. Each cookie is $6 and comes in three different border colors (red, blue, and yellow).</p>
<p>Performances of <em>The Nutcracker</em> will be held December 22 &#8211; January 2 at the <a href="http://www.bam.org">Brooklyn Academy of Music</a>, our neighbors.
